Bracket-mounted Electric Copper Ladle|Floor-standing Stable Pouring Melt Transfer Equipment

Time: 2026-10-09

In fixed-station production of copper alloy casting and non-ferrous metal refining, the stability, safety and process accuracy of pouring operations directly affect casting quality and workshop productivity. The bracket-mounted electric copper ladle adopts a floor support structure and electric tilt control system to realize floor positioning, decoupling pouring, stable flow forming and safe operation. It is a practical and stable pouring equipment for fixed-point pouring of medium-light volumes of copper melt.

I. Floor Bracket Load-bearing Structure for Stationary Floor Pouring

This copper ladle is equipped with an independent heavy-duty floor bracket. The equipment is only lifted by an overhead crane for a short time during melt receiving and station transfer. After the fully loaded ladle is lowered onto the floor bracket, the crane hook can be released. The total load of the ladle body and molten copper is fully borne by the thickened steel triangular bracket, freeing the overhead crane for other workshop operations and improving crane utilization.

The bracket features a triangular stable structure with uniform force distribution and reliable support to provide rigid support for pouring. The elevated layout of the bracket leaves sufficient operating space around the bottom and side walls of the ladle body, facilitating lining masonry, repair, drying and routine maintenance without additional auxiliary tooling, and reducing daily maintenance work. The bracket also serves as the mounting base for the tilt drive system to ensure mounting accuracy of the rotating shaft and steady tilting movement.

II. Low-profile Optimized Ladle Body Design for Operational Safety and Process Quality

The equipment adopts a low-profile ladle body optimized for fixed-station pouring. The low ladle effectively lowers the overall centre of gravity under full-load conditions and reduces overturning moment during tilting. Both electric tilting and manual emergency operation become steadier, lowering risks of splashing or spilling of high-temperature molten copper.

The bracket fixes the pouring height, keeping the spout at a reasonable process height matched to moulds and sand moulds. It stabilizes the falling flow of molten copper and reduces fluctuation of pouring head, minimizing common casting defects such as porosity, slag inclusion and misrun, and improving consistency of casting forming. The low-profile design allows ground-level inspection and cleaning of the refractory lining, offering good adaptability to workshop ceiling height and conventional lifting equipment.

The ladle body is fabricated by integral welding of thick steel plates. Critical welds undergo non-destructive testing. It features high structural strength to withstand thermal shock from high-temperature molten copper and resists deformation and cracking after long-term service. Mounting seats for refractory lining are reserved inside the ladle, and vent holes are arranged on side walls to discharge moisture generated during lining drying, preventing lining bulging and peeling and extending service life of refractory materials. The front spout adopts a streamlined profile for uniform and steady melt flow, reducing slag adhesion and flow interruption to maintain stable pouring.

III. Electric and Manual Dual Drive for Controllable Pouring with Sufficient Safety Redundancy

The equipment is fitted with an electric tilting and manual emergency dual-drive system, balancing routine operation efficiency and safety under fault conditions. During normal production, the tilting action is driven by a motor matched with a reducer and chain drive assembly. The tilting speed is uniform and steady to achieve slow and controlled pouring, meeting fixed-point pouring requirements for conventional copper alloy castings, reducing manual workload and allowing single-operator operation.

A manual emergency handwheel is provided for power failure or electric control faults. When the electric system fails, the handwheel can be used for ladle tilting, resetting and emergency pouring to ensure on-site operation safety. All drive components are made of wear-resistant materials with minimal drive clearance and stable positioning. The ladle can be held at any angle within the working tilting range to suit various pouring conditions.

IV. Multiple Safety Protections for Continuous Industrial Operation

Mechanical limit structures are installed to restrict the maximum tilting angle of the ladle and avoid overtravel risks. When the equipment is idle, on standby or under maintenance, a locking arrangement secures the ladle against unintended rotation to protect personnel and equipment. Every unit undergoes factory tests including no-load tilting test, full-load static stability test and manual emergency operation test. All performance parameters comply with safety requirements for high-temperature melt transfer equipment in the casting industry, suitable for regular continuous pouring operations in workshops.

V. Applicable Scenarios

The bracket-mounted electric copper ladle is designed for fixed-station copper melt pouring and fixed-point transfer of medium-light copper alloy melt in foundry workshops. It is widely applied in hardware casting, precision copper part manufacturing, non-ferrous metal refining and other industries, and meets the requirements for stable pouring in routine mass production of standard castings for various fixed-point pouring applications of medium-light copper alloys.
